South grove primary school in Leyton and SAS placed a funding bid with
the
British Heart Foundation, we were one of the runners up, out of 600 applicants.
The Prime Minister congratulated the winners of the national Health for Kids Awards for
their great contribution to children’s health and wellbeing, and it was great that our class structure is helping and changing young people’s lives. Wow!!!

The SAS Martial Arts Academy felt very proud that they were able to help less
fortunate persons than themselves. It was a fantastic day with more young people coming out with their families to help Great Ormand Street Hospital and Action For Kids to raise money on
Hampstead Heath.
The SAS would like to thank all of the particapants, volunteers and their familes for their support and genrosity in making this event possible.
We are still collecting money so if you were not able to attend on the day please remember that you can still sponsor someone.

The SAS Martial Arts Academy were asked to represent at the Haringey Networking meeting on the 17th June 2009. It was a very successful day with most of the attendees being very impressed
with our Youth Leadership programmes.
Even two of our Youth Leaders were praised so much after holding a small demo and work shop for some of the other partnership teams at the event, well done to Assistant Instructors Ben
Porteous-Heath and Jimi Animashaun.
